Spring is here and summer is not too far away, and one of my favourite parts about the warmer seasons is bodycare. I love a good shimmer mist or body cream that makes my skin glow. So today I’m sharing my guide to glowy skin, so that you can shine all spring and summer long.
The underlying cause of glowing skin is hydration, so to start off this guide, my first tip would be to drink enough water on the daily. I aim to drink at least 2 litres of water a day and something that helps keep me on track is my Healthish WB-1 waterbottle. Staying hydrated from the inside, will ensure a brighter and radiant glow on the outside.
My next tip for glowy skin is to moisturize twice daily, with an intense body moisturizer. My personal favourites are listed below because they penetrate deep into the skin to ensure that the moisture lasts a long time and they help with the appearance of smoother skin.
Another great way to hydrate the skin, especially during the daytime is to use a body oil. I say during the daytime because I find that using a body oil makes the skin look much more glowy than a regular moisturizer, and they usually smell really good so it’s a win-win! My favourite body oil right now is the OUAI Rose Hair and Body Oil. It’s got an amazing rose fragrance and doesn’t leave a sticky residue on the skin after applying.
My final tip for glowy skin in the spring and summer time is to use a shimmer mist! Recently, I started using this and it has made a big difference in how my skin looks in person and in photos. It’s particularly amazing for photos where you’re showing a bit more skin, aka the legs, chest or arm areas. The mist that I use in the OUAI Hair and Body Shine Mist.
