My Favourite Face Mists

Whether it’s hydration, brightening or calming effects that you need, a facial mist is always a great way to wake up your skin.

I personally love using facial mists before applying a moisturizer, after showers and after my workouts but these bottles of miracle liquid also serve as a nice pick-me-up throughout the day. However it’s important to know what you’re actually spraying on your face because depending on the ingredients, each face mist will act differently on your skin. That’s another long post that I could write about so let me know in the comments or by Instagram DM (@haleyestradaa) if it’s something you’d like to see!

For now, here are a few of my favourite (tried and true) facial mists…

Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray

This oil-free spray is formulated to replenish the skin’s moisture level and serves as a great skin refresher. I use this spray before applying my nightly skincare, before my daily moisturizer and right after workouts. I’ve found that this spray really keeps my skin hydrated throughout the day, but especially if I apply the Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief Gel Cream afterwards. This is a very affordable face spray, retailing at $32CAD for 125mL at Sephora.

Mad Hippie Hydrating Nutrient Mist

Mad Hippie has taken Hyaluronic Acid treatment to another level with this plumping and smoothing face spray. This spray includes the ingredient Sodium Hyaluronate which plumps and moisturizes the skin while reducing the appearance of fine lines. Other contributors include Vitamin C, Green Tea, Pomegranate Seed Extract and many other natural ingredients. I apply this spray to my hands and then pat it onto my face before my Vitamin C Serum (also from Mad Hippie) and it leaves my skin feeling glowy, plumped and smooth as ever. You can find their affordable range of natural products at Urban Outfitters or on the Mad Hippie website.

Saturday Skin Daily Dew Hydrating Essence Mist

This is an essence and a toner in one that works to replenish moisture and reduce the appearance of pores. The name is no joke because honestly this spray leaves my face dewy throughout the entire day! I use this one all the day underneath the rest of my skincare and on top of a makeup look for a glowy finish. This once again is an affordable spray, going for $34USD on the Saturday Skin website.
