Vacation Diaries: Bohol for Christmas

This year my family decided to do Christmas a little differently…okay maybe a lot differently. Instead of a white and chilly holiday in Vancouver, we flew overseas to the Philippines to visit our family and spend Christmas with them. Christmas Eve was spent in Manila at a relatives house and Christmas Day was spent flying from Manila to Bohol!

After our one hour flight to Bohol on Christmas morning we spent the day beachside getting our tans on.

We stayed at the Bellevue Resort and were greeted with a (just about) white sand beach, crystal clear water, and refreshingly warm salty air. It’s safe to say I had an unforgettable Christmas Day.

The day after we arrived, we woke up bright and early to drive to Danao Adventure park. I never thought I would let myself free fall from the edge of a mountain but I DID IT. And it was amazingly thrilling! In addition to the 4-second free fall “Plunge” as they called it, I also went on the “Sui-Slide” zipline between two mountains, and completed a tree root climb.

Between beach and poolside days at the resort I also went island hopping to Padre Pio Island, Balicasag Island, and Virgin Island. It was one of the most surreal experiences I’ve ever taken part in. I’ve never seen more beautiful sands and waters as these!

Stay tuned for my next Vacation Diaries post on Tuesday! ❤️ Merry Christmas and Happy New Year my loves!
