Transitioning Your Wardrobe: Summer to Fall

Transitioning your wardrobe from one season to another can be pretty tricky and make for difficult outfit decisions. However with the right pieces and pairings you can make the most of your wardrobe and smoothly phase out your summer pieces. Try following some of my tricks below for a seamless wardrobe transition from Summer to Fall.

Ease your darker colour palette into your outfits. Continue to wear your light summer colours but introduce darker pieces like navy denim or black boots.

Start layering! This is one of my personal favourites for the Autumn season. Bring out the lighter weight coats or denim jackets and wear them over your summer dresses and tops. Try wearing a cardigan over a simple summer t-shirt and add in an accessory like a sunhat or neck scarf!

Don’t stop sandal season early but phase out your lighter coloured ones and bring in Fall hues like burgundy, brown, tan, olive green, and black.

Get on the #scarfseason boat early! Maybe not your heavy wool scarves though. Play with silks and lighter materials to really compliment your outfit.
